In response to Josh Lambert's Design Friday post Vacuum — The subconscious state has fascinated me for a long time. The snapshots we gather over time and toss into some magical bin in the back of our minds. These memories can disappear and then suddenly re-appear. And what gets me the most is the combination in which they re-appear. At times these pieces are contrasted with things that have nothing to do with each other and your left with a puzzle that makes absolutely no sense.

Tech N9ne All 6's AND 7'S

Tech N9ne's All 6's AND 7's drops today and we are excited to finally be able to share the packaging. It's a sleek nine color, six-panel digi pack that houses a five-color, 20-page booklet showcasing typographic vignettes from the lyrical M.C.

Working on projects for Tech is always really fun because there’s so much substance to what he creates, especially with this one. All 6’s AND 7’s is a hyper lyrical album that explores themes and subject matter that have long since been a part of his music. The duality of the 6’s AND 7’s theme is what we really gravitated towards and chose to illustrate throughout the packaging.

A big thanks goes out to Sarah Thompson Lift for another amazing job on the styling. Another big thanks to photographer Alistair Tutton for the incredible job of capturing the distinct persona of Tech N9ne, he totally killed it. And finally, congrats to Tech on putting out his biggest album to date, go get em' man.

After waiting weeks to finally get a copy in our hands, we are definitely pumped with how everything turned out. Check it out.

This is in response to Josh Lambert's post Bang Bang. Through chaos or just dramatic events in general I seem to remember things in bursts and flashes. What is interesting, is that those flashes can, at times, be re-imagined into some sort of abstraction from the actual event itself, taking on a life of its own.

Pulling from the fact that my wife and I had a new baby, literally, 10 days ago and most of its a blur, here's FLASH.
